Hey Doc! When my tiny self squirmed and swam.. 

You waited to complete the scan..

The nasal bone and the all important nuchal.. 

Announced “All is well” in approval..

While in mom’s  womb I grew in her semblance.. 

You dealt me with loads of patience..

Ticked my anatomy with rightful perseverance.. 

Inspite of my adamant positional hindrance...

You were gracious to show my young heart’s cadence.. 

To my parents who saw in joyful radiance...

When my dates to see the wide world out was near..

My Weight and Dopplers were... for my Dear ones to fear..,

Yet, you were right there to assure and clear...

Your work helped my womb life’s  decisions so vital 

To bring me out to this world..in final..

I thank you with my first cry..so vocal..

Lest I forget, caught in the quest of survival...

Tis an Ode to the Scan Doctor from the newborn “Me”...
